Dr. Herdy Liow, ST, M.Eng

Dr. Herdy Liow, ST, M.Eng is a lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Manado. He earned his Ph.D. from Aix-Marseille University, France, specializing in Automatique Intelligente Compétitive (Intelligent Competitivity).

His research and academic interests include Automation and RoboticsIntelligent CompetitivityControl EngineeringCNC ProgrammingMechatronics, and CAD/CAM Systems.

The field of Automatique Intelligente Compétitive focuses on the integration of intelligent control systems, adaptive algorithms, and competitive optimization strategies in automation and manufacturing systems. This approach enables machines and industrial processes to perform more efficiently, adapt to changing conditions, and optimize performance autonomously.

In his teaching and research, Dr. Herdy Liow emphasizes the application of intelligent automation and digital manufacturing technologies to foster innovation in industrial and educational environments. He is also actively involved in project-based learning and applied research, guiding students to link theoretical foundations with practical implementation in automation, robotics, and intelligent control systems.
